With an automatic transmission, selecting Sport mode makes driving more enjoyable, but this mode resets with each start and must be manually selected. I created a small harness that can counteract this behavior. The car will always start with Sport mode enabled if it was enabled before the car was shut down. and I can reset it manually using the switch.
Electronics is very simple, implemented on the smallest Microchip microprocessor. This is a plug-and-play device that is easy to install.

It is available now, but to power it, one wire needs to be tapped to the nearby cable, using Posi-Tap. I’m waiting for new harnesses to make it completely plug-and-play.
It is expected to be available by the end of August 2025.

I purchased this a while back for my manual 124 Spider but it looks like the new plug and play version doesn’t work natively with the manual cars. Is it just a matter of connecting pin H (on the 8 pin connector) to +12V power? If so, I can route something myself to the ACC socket.

yes, you can directly provide power to this pin. It must be Ignition power line, not ACC. You can get it from the fuse box
