I have a new design of the illumination unit and the dimmer module. The new module utilizes 9 LEDs, to spread out the illumination. Now it is available with white or red light.
The dimmer control is now wireless, with remote control. The Old unit can be easily replaced with the new one. The installation procedure is similar to the previous unit. Updated installation guide is here: LED module installation

NeoPixel version?? I made one but it is not exactly build friendly since I used Adafruit Pro Trinket and a BLE module to control it from my phone. Custom board/components would be smaller but that is past my experience and patience.
